Iggy Azalea is making history on the charts. The Aussie rapper’s Charli XCX-assisted single “Fancy” tops the Billboard Hot 100 for a sixth week, giving her the longest-leading No. 1 by a female rapper.
According to Billboard, she passes Lil’ Kim, who spent five weeks at No. 1 with her star-studded collaboration “Lady Marmalade” in 2001.
Other female rappers on the list include Lauryn Hill, who spent two weeks at No. 1 with her 1998 single “Doo Wop (That Thing),” and Shawnna, who enjoyed one week at the top with 2003′s Ludacris-assisted hit “Stand Up.”
Iggy celebrated the news on Twitter.
“6 weeks at number 1!! Yes! Thankyou so much guys!!! she said.
But she’s not basking in the glory for long. She has already shot a video for her next single, “Black Widow” featuring Rita Ora.
