The future is looking bright for Future. The Atlanta rapper has announced a joint venture with Epic Records for his label, Freebandz Entertainment. As part of the new deal, he will release his own albums and sign new talent.
“L.A. Reid and the team at Epic made a great impact on my career helping me to reach an incredible level of success with Pluto,” said Future in a statement. “It made perfect sense to fully partner with them with my label Freebandz.”
To kick things off, Future will release the mixtape Future Presents F.B.G.: The Movie on January 13 to introduce his new artists.
The cover art represents the subject matter found on the mixtape. The mask symbolizes the foes F.B.G. has defeated, the spiked Louboutin depicts F.B.G.’s defense and strength, and the Louis Vuitton luggage with cash represents what Future’s success has afforded him.
Future’s debut Pluto spawned the hit singles “Tony Montana,” “Same Damn Time,” and “Turn On the Lights.” The re-release Pluto 3D, which dropped in November, also includes the remix to “Neva End” featuring Kelly Rowland.
