1HIPHOPUCIT.com was on hand at the 2010 BET Awards red carpet. It was prom night for Nicki Minaj, who picked up three awards, including Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Best New Artist, and Best Group for Young Money, at Sunday’s BET Awards ’10 at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium.

“I just think it’s so important right now for positive energy among women because I’m fighting for women,” hip-hop’s sweetheart said during one of her acceptance speeches. “This is not for me, this is for all of us, so thank you to all the female rappers who paved the way for me.”
