Fabolous was arrested for allegedly assaulting his longtime girlfriend Emily Bustamante on Wednesday (March 28).

The Brooklyn rapper turned himself in to police in Englewood, New Jersey, where the couple lives, at approximately 8:30 p.m. He was booked for two felonies, aggravated assault and making terroristic threats, according to TMZ.

Sources say that Emily, a “Love & Hip Hop” star who also goes by Emily B, contacted officials and said that Fabolous hit her.

Accompanied by his lawyer, Fabolous received a citation for a court appearance for the alleged incident. However, he did not serve jail time.

Fabolous has yet to address the incident directly. However, he published an Instagram Story on Wednesday night that read:

“2018 tryna break my heart” with a broken-heart emoji. He also posted a series of concert photos with the caption: “your strongest enemy’s the one who knows your weak spot.”

Fabolous and Bustamante, a wardrobe stylist and shoe designer, have a longstanding relationship. They also have two sons together, Johan, 10, and Jonas, 2.
