Eminem, Nicki Minaj & Kendrick Lamar Cover ESPN The Magazine

The worlds of music and sports collide on the cover of ESPN The Magazine. The biweekly sports publication teams all-star athletes with music’s MVPs for its annual Music Issue.

On one of the three covers, Nicki Minaj shares the spotlight with Kobe Bryant. Looking glamorous in Galliano, a blonde Nicki sits atop a speaker with her hands on the Lakers star’s shoulders.

Eminem reps his city of Detroit alongside Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson. The magazine describes the pairing as

“a match made in Motor City heaven.”

And despite being a Lakers fan, Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar is all smiles as he kicks it with Clippers point guard Chris Paul on a third cover.
