Art imitates life in the graphic video for Eminem and Rihanna’s No. 1 collaboration “Love the Way You Lie,” the second single off Recovery. The bad boy rapper and pop star, who’ve both been in tumultuous relationships, tackle domestic violence in the blockbuster clip directed by Joseph Kahn.
The storyline is loosely based on Em’s rocky past with his ex-wife Kim and co-stars “Lost’s” Dominic Monaghan and “Transformers” actress Megan Fox. “The concept of ‘Love the Way You Lie’ was essentially a look at the relationship that Eminem was in with his wife, Kim, so I kind of felt like I was playing Eminem a little bit, and Megan Fox was kind of playing Kim,” Monaghan told MTV News.
“We’re supposed to be desperately in love, like Bonnie and Clyde style, like Sid and Nancy, John and Yoko … Eminem and Kim.”
