Preliminary information indicates actor and comedian Tracy Morgan was injured in a car crash on the N.J. Turnpike early this morning, a State Police spokesperson told ABC News.
A hospital spokesman said Morgan, who starred in NBC’s “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live,” is listed in critical condition. At least one person was killed and three others were injured in the crash, police said.
The six-vehicle crash happened in the northbound lanes at mile marker 71.5 about 1 a.m., according to N.J. State Police.
Police believe a truck rear ended a limousine-style bus that Morgan was riding in, causing the crash, an official briefed on the investigation told ABC News.
Of the four people who were injured, three – including Morgan – are listed in critical condition. The fourth person is listed in fair condition.
