Will Drake and Rihanna drop their new albums next month?
According to industry source HITS Daily Double, the superstars are gearing up to launch their projects around Music’s Biggest Night, the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, on Feb. 15.
Kanye West has already announced a Feb. 11 release date for his forthcoming album Swish. But we may also get Drake’s long-awaited album Views From the 6 and Rihanna’s oft-delayed ANTI around the same time, making for a massive release week.
All signs point to a February release for RiRi. The singer can be seen in a CBS promo for the Super Bowl and Grammys, hinting that she will participate in Music’s Biggest Night. She will also launch the North American leg of her “ANTI World Tour” on Feb. 26 and won’t have much time to promote the project once on the road.
As for Drake, he could pull off another surprise release like he did with his chart-topping mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and joint project with Future, What a Time to Be Alive. It’s unknown if Drake will appear at the Grammys. He is, however, set to coach during the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in Toronto on Feb. 12.
Over the last few weeks, Drake has been posting photos of himself in the studio working on Views, which he announced in July 2014.
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will air live on Monday, Feb. 15, at 8e/5p. So far, Kendrick Lamar, Adele, and The Weeknd have been announced as performers.
