Blue Ivy Carter is barely a week old and she’s already following in her famous parents’ footsteps. Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter makes music history by becoming the youngest person ever to grace the Billboard chart.

The infant can be heard crying on “Glory,” Jay-Z’s dedication to his newborn. The Neptunes-produced track, which was released less than 48 hours after her birth, enters at No. 74 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The song becomes the week’s highest debut on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with 1.7 million audience impressions on 54 radio stations.

“The most amazing feeling I feel, words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real/ Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you,” raps Jay on the sentimental song.

Blue Ivy Carter was born on January 7 in New York. Her parents released a joint statement welcoming their little girl into the world.

“Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven,” wrote the couple.

Jay-Z has fulfilled his promise to be a hands-on dad to baby Blue Ivy.

The 42-year-old rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has reportedly been the perfect husband to wife Beyonce since the birth of their newborn daughter last weekend.

“Jay won’t let her lift a finger. He’s been changing the diapers and getting his hands dirty,” a source told the Daily Star.

The couple have reportedly spent thousands of dollars to create a luxury nursery for their new addition, which includes a 20,000 dollar wooden cot – shaped as Cinderella’s coach carriage – as its centrepiece.

There’s also reported to be a a solid gold handmade rocking horse and a Swarovski crystal-encrusted highchair.

Meanwhile, state health officials have dismissed complaints that patients in a hospital neonatal unit were mistreated while Beyonce was there giving birth to her and Jay-Z’s daughter.

They had received two complaints about how the star’s security arrangements had caused problems at Manhattan’s Lenox Hill Hospital, one made anonymously, the other from someone who had learned about the matter through the media, a health department spokesman said.

Officials reviewed the complaints and dismissed them, spokesman Jeffrey Gordon said without elaborating.

The hospital, a popular choice for the rich and famous from late philanthropist Brooke Astor to 30 Rock star Tina Fey, said it was conducting its own probe.
