Beyoncé has sold out shows across the globe, but she’s ready to take on her biggest gig yet. The superstar singer will reportedly headline the Super Bowl halftime show next year.
According to The Associated Press, the “Single Ladies” hitmaker will take the stage during Super Bowl XLVII at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on February 3, 2013. An official announcement is expected Wednesday.
Beyoncé joins an illustrious list of past performers including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Prince, Diana Ross, U2, and Madonna, who performed at this year’s Super Bowl in February with guests CeeLo Green, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, and M.I.A. Her performance was watched by 114 million people.
Beyoncé has won 16 Grammy Awards throughout her career and previously sang the National Anthem at the 2004 Super Bowl in her hometown of Houston.
Possible guests for Beyoncé’s Pepsi NFL Halftime Show include Jay-Z and her fellow Destiny’s Child divas Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
