A$AP Rocky faced all sorts of strange questions when he visited Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club.” The Harlem rapper, whose debut Long.Live.A$AP drops January 15, spoke about the oversized shirt that he wore on “106 & Park,” the evolution of fashion in hip-hop, pleading guilty to attempted grand larceny for stealing a camera, and his relationship with his “Diamonds” tourmate Rihanna and ex-girlfriend Iggy Azalea.

On his long T-shirt, which some mistook for a dress: “That ain’t no damn dress. That’s an oversized shirt.”

On homophobia: “I don’t even think people are like they used to be. I like where it’s at. I think people are like, ‘If people are into that, that’s their business.’ I don’t think they really badger and patronize it no more.”

On the evolution of fashion in hip-hop: “It all started with a man named Tupac Shakur. First of all, Gianni Versace said that he was the most beautiful man, like he was in love with Tupac. He first started messing with Tupac by giving him clothes. He really admired his art and all of that. And that’s when you saw Puff and you saw B.I.G. start wearing Versace after that. Tupac, he kinda did do it first.”

On how he landed a $3 million deal with RCA Records: “I think I’m very eclectic and creative. I’m passionate and that’s what I put inside my art and my music, and I think that’s what they saw in me.”

On pleading guilty to attempted grand larceny: “It costs a lot of money to be coming to court every month for something as petty as me stealing a camera. It’s one of those slap on the wrists. And that’s when I calmed down for real. If you notice, that was the last fight.”

On his relationship with Rihanna: “We just cool, that’s it. That’s just the homie… Me and Rihanna didn’t do nothing, we don’t have nothing going on.”

On rumors that he cheated on Iggy Azalea: “That’s a lie.”

On collaborating with T.I. and Big Boi: “It’s an honor to have them acknowledge me.”
