This upcoming June actress Vivica A. Fox will add a mixture of poise and refinement as she will host this year’s Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame Awards. This will mark the first broadcast since airing in syndication and on the BET cable network back in 1996. The first show inducted artists such as Run DMC, Hip-Hop founder DJ Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, and DJ Red Alert.
The Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame Awards is also in support of the new Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame Museum & Entertainment (HHHOF) complex which will be recognized at this year’s ceremony. The museum will be located in Manhattan and will provide nearly 300 new jobs and internships. The HHHOF museum will compose of retail stores, restaurants, a concert lounge stage, TV studios, live events and TV shows.
“We are very excited to be returning to television, and finally unveiling the Hip-Hop Museum in Manhattan! Hip-Hop has been commercialized from the streets, and has re-emerged as the major youth ‘marketing and economic’ driving force influencing over $250 Billion+ in sales across all service and product categories. This event will help re-establish the Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame and the Hip-Hop TV Network brands in the marketplace for decades to come,” says show Creator and Executive Producer J.T. Thompson.
