It’s the collaboration you’ve been waiting for. J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar come together in pursuit of the “American Dream” on their highly-anticipated record off Jeezy’s upcoming album Pressure.
The SoundSmith-produced track, which samples Bilal, kicks off with the Snowman, who celebrates his grind and takes aim at Donald Trump on the heavy-hitting hustler’s anthem.
“My president was black, now my president is wack,” he raps.
Cole is up next, dropping some knowledge on his listeners:
“I just dropped a gem or two within a few verses I sing / For all my real ni**as trapped inside the game.”
King Kendrick caps things off with some motivational rhymes.
“These streets made for ballin’ / 10 toes ain’t for fallin’ / I hear the world callin’ / Tell me if you all in, tell me if you all in,” he raps.
Due Friday, Pressure also features collaborations with Kodak Black and YG (“Pressure”), Tory Lanez and Rick Ross (“Like Them”), and WizKid and Trey Songz (“The Life”).
