Rick Ross is making more boss moves in 2016. The Teflon Don has left Def Jam and signed a new solo deal with Epic Records.

The news spread across social media on Friday afternoon (Jan. 15). The Epic Records account tweeted a photo of Rozay alongside executives L.A. Reid and Sylvia Rhone with the caption:

“Welcome @rickyrozay to the #EPIC family!”

Rozay signed to Def Jam in 2006 and released eight albums on the label. His most recent, December’s Black Market, debuted at No. 6.

During an interview with “The Breakfast Club” last year (via Complex), Rozay confirmed that his Def Jam deal was done and that he was in negotiations for a new home.

“I’ma be honest, right now we are in the middle of re-negotiations,” he said. “It’s a lot of people coming to the table. It’s a lot of people bringing a lot of new excitement to the table. It is my last album [with] Def Jam Records. I’ve been nothing but successful, they been a part of everything that I’ve created. They helped built this empire that I am a part of, and I respect and love them for that. Right now, you know where we at, ya dig? Most definitely, shout out to L.A. Reid, ya dig?”

He joins the Epic roster, which includes Future, Diddy, Mariah Carey, Ciara, Travis Scott, and Fifth Harmony.

Ross also has a deal with Warner Music for his Maybach Music Group artists including Meek Mill, Wale, Stalley, Rockie Fresh, and Omarion. Will MMG also be making the move to Epic? Stay tuned.
