One year ago, Chicago’s very own Dreezy dropped “Boss,” a menacing track tracing everything she had planned for 2016. Plus, she announced signing to Interscope Records. It’s been a wild ride for the MC who dropped her Schizo tape in 2014 and later, an incredible remix of Nicki Minaj’s “Chi-Raq.”
Over the last few months, Dreezy’s been pretty quiet—putting in work on her debut album and trying out different sounds and producers. “I feel like I have a versatile style so I challenge myself to do different things,” she told Complex over email. “I’m trying new things all the time. I was really in the process of completing my album, and my A&R Dash and Pusha Rod introduced me to Southside and Metro Boomin. We made our first song and it was hype.”
Today, we’re premiering her latest EP, titled From Now On with a feature from Dej Loaf on “Serena.” While she’s been working on her album, she gifts fans with a little tease of new music before 2016. She’s already got a few singles in the holster and is finishing up her major label debut. For now, listen to From Now On below and grab it on iTunes tomorrow:
