With music on lock, Miley Cyrus is taking on the fashion world as the new face of Marc Jacobs spring/summer 2014 campaign. The “Wrecking Ball” singer sits on a beach with two models in the dark, post-apocalyptic photos, shot in L.A. by fashion photographer David Sims.
“We all just love her and her entire being, her energy, her talent, her intelligence, everything,” Jacobs told WWD. “There’s nothing I don’t like about her. She is just genuine and very natural.”
He explained the concept behind the shoot, saying,
“We wanted this beach with girls kind of sulky and broody, and we thought it would be cool if it was Miley with what could be two friends, feeling distant and quite dark.”
Miley, who became friends with Jacobs through his business partner Robert Duffy, also posed for the designer’s “Protect the Skin You’re In” cancer research T-shirt campaign.
On Valentine’s Day, she will kick off her “Bangerz” tour in Vancouver.
