Bruno Mars plays bad boy on the cover of Rolling Stone. The Hawaiian-born hearrthrob, who the magazine proclaims “pop’s golden child,” shows some chest in a leopard-print shirt with a cigarette hanging from his mouth.

Mars kicks off “The Moonshine Jungle World Tour” on June 22, while his single “When I Was Your Man” is No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

In the interview, he reveals that he wrote the song for his girlfriend, model Jessica Caban.

“You’re bringing up all these old emotions again,” he says. “It’s just like bleeding!”

The issue hits newsstands on Friday, April 26.
