Tyler, the Creator gets burned by love in the self-directed video for “IFHY,” his collaboration with Pharrell off his new album Wolf, due April 2. The Odd Future leader plays a lovestruck doll, acting out scenes in a dollhouse with a plastic girlfriend. The real-life Tyler later drives through a neighborhood with his OF groupmate Hodgy Beats as his song “Jamba” blasts from the speakers.
He received praise from his mentor Pharrell.
“This guy @fucktyler is talent ungoverned…feral…creates with his self appointed license..sick music, lyrics and directs his videos,” tweeted The Neptunes producer.
In addition to Pharrell, Wolf includes collaborations with Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu, and more of his Odd Future crew.
