Rihanna is bringing her tour to television. The pop diva has inked a deal with Fox to broadcast her infamous “777 Tour.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the concert documentary, “Rihanna 777,” will air on Monday, May 6.
The film will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the globe-trotting trek, which traveled to seven countries in seven days with seven shows to promote Rihanna’s seventh album, Unapologetic.
Rihanna invited 256 fans and journalists to jet with her across the world last November, starting in L.A. and ending in New York City. The tour received negative press after passengers complained of airport delays and not getting enough face time with RiRi.
Hollywood insiders believe the documentary is a way for Fox to get closer to Rihanna for future television deals. The network is home to “American Idol” and “The X Factor.”
