Ciara kicked off the week with an early morning visit to VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live.” Wearing a black jumpsuit, platform heels, and a bun, the stylish singer chatted about visiting lion cubs in South Africa. “I literally wore clothing just to be prepared for them because they’re wild,” said CiCi, who wore Chanel military boots while playing with the cubs.
Her album One Woman Army is due this winter.
“It is about self-empowerment,” said CiCi. “It’s about my independence as a woman. It really represents my journey and my struggle, my need to be strong, where I am with love, just everything.”
She’s not holding back this time around.
“You’re gonna get to learn a good bit because I was always so protective and very guarded when I first started, and on this record, I really was comfortable being vulnerable and I let go and I didn’t care about what I was saying.”
Around the time her single “Sorry” was released, 50 Cent tweeted, “Ok IM SORRY.” When asked if the song was written about the rapper, Ciara was at a loss for words, later adding, “You just threw me off there.”
