It’s getting hot in here. Nicki Minaj adds some fuel to the fire on the remix to “Girl on Fire,” the first single off Alicia Keys’ album of the same name. The empowering female anthem kicks off with a blazing verse from the Young Money diva, who name checks Marilyn Monroe and Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas.
Alicia carries the flag for her fellow superwomen on the drum-heavy record, written and produced by Billy Squier, Jeff Bhasker, and Salaam Remi.
“She’s got her head in the clouds and she’s not backing down,” she belts.
The Grammy-winning songstress will perform the song live at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday, while her fifth album is due November 27 featuring contributions from Swizz Beatz, Babyface, Pop & Oak, Rico Love, Jeff Bhasker, Gary Clarke Jr., Emeli Sandé, Jamie xx, and Sevyn.
Feel the burn.
