Game knows how to start a commotion. The Compton rapper is bound to have everyone talking with the new title for his next album.
Originally titled F.I.V.E. (Fear Is Victory’s Evolution), he changed it to Jesus Piece after Trey Songz released his similarly-titled album Chapter V.
Game, who owns several Jesus pieces, told DJ Skee how he came up with the title.
“I did a song with Kanye that was called ‘Jesus Piece,’” he said. “One day we was in the studio and Dre from Cool & Dre was just like, ‘We should call the album ‘Jesus Piece.” You know how much controversy that will be?”
He is eyeing a fourth quarter release for what will be his fifth and final album for Interscope Records.
“I feel like I’m about to be reborn,” said Game, who recently shot a video for the first single “Celebration” featuring Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Tyga, and Wiz Khalifa.
He also finished filming a reality series documenting his upcoming marriage to fiancée Tiffney Cambridge. The show, for which he claims he was paid $1 million, is currently in post-production.
