Fresh off debuting his new single “My Homies Still” with Big Sean, Lil Wayne made an in-store appearance at Macy’s for the launch of his skate apparel and accessories line TRUKFIT (The Reason You Kill For It) at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles on Friday.
Wearing an orange TRUKFIT tee, drawstring pants, and Nike Dunks, Tunechi held a skateboard while posing alongside pro skateboarder Stevie Williams, who was there to promote his line DGK.
Earlier in the week, the avid sports fan complained about being denied entry into Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena for the NBA playoff game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.
“Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena. Wow. Smh. Go Spurs!” he tweeted.
Thunder players Kevin Durant and James Harden later offered him tickets to Saturday’s game of the Western Conference Finals.
“That’s not the point, though,” Weezy told The Associated Press at the TRUKFIT launch. “It’s the players stepping up but of course the players aren’t white. I don’t want to be sitting there on behalf of you and I’m sitting next to a [person] that’s like, ‘I don’t want this [guy] sitting next to me.’ F**k you … I’m in Forbes.”
While his manager has advised him not to return to the venue, Weezy responded,
“I never say never.”
