After Dr. Dre was presented with the award last year, another producer-turned-Hip Hop mogul is honored by ASCAP.
Bad Boy Records founder and CEO Sean “Diddy” Combs will be honored at June 24’s 24th annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards. The Beverly Hills, California event will see the Hip Hop mogul/artist/producer and entrepreneur receiving the Founder’s Award.
“To be recognized for my contributions to music by ASCAP is a true honor,” said Diddy in a statement. “All I wanted to do was make people dance and hopefully inspire others to never settle for anything but their best.”
Throughout his career, Diddy has worked with the likes of Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z and 8Ball & MJG.
Another popular Rap artist and exec, Dr. Dre received the award last year.
