Big Sean commanded listeners’ attention earlier this week with the debut of his Chris Brown-assisted single “My Last,” and now his debut album finally has an official release date.

The G.O.O.D. Music rapper will drop his first studio LP Finally Famous: The Album on March 29, Rap-Uphas learned. He will face competition from his hip-hop peers Wiz Khalifa (Rolling Papers) and Snoop Dogg (Doggumentary), among others.

Kanye West’s 22-year-old protégé made a name for himself with his trilogy of Finally Famous mixtapes and his series of self-produced viral videos.

“I remember in the eighth grade I told myself, man I’m going to be signed to Def Jam,” explains Sean. “I always put it out into the universe and I think it was written for me. I was meant to inspire people, I was meant to make music. There’s been so many nights where instead of going out I’ve had to work and was depressed so I feel like I deserve this. This is what I was meant to do.”
