Jay-Z went all in for 2011. The hip-hop titan co-headlined the grand opening celebration of The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve. A few thousand guests were invited inside the billion-dollar hotel to see Jay perform with Coldplay at the exclusive gig, where he was reportedly paid $1 million. The evening featured a surprise appearance from Kanye West, who joined him on “Good Life,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” and “Homecoming,” along with Chris Martin. John Mayer rocked with Hov on “99 Problems” and even Beyoncé took the stage for “Young Forever” and “Halo” with the Coldplay frontman on piano.
