2 Chainz has a message for Donald Trump in the video for “100 Joints,” a single off his ColleGrove album.
“Muslim Americans live their day to day life just like all other Americans,” reads the clip. “They are not all terrorists that hate America.” Meanwhile, the visual goes on to show Muslim families eating and praying together as Chainz raps about smoking “100 joints a day.”
The video follows controversial statements made by the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Trump’s website has a statement that is also quoted in the video:
“Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on. According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population.”
2 Chainz is not Muslim, but he has ties to the religion. His real name is Tauheed Epps and his first name means “unity with God, one with Allah,” according to the rapper.
Trump has been criticized by other artists including Chris Brown, Mac Miller, T.I., and YG and Nipsey Hussle, who recently released their song “FDT (F**k Donald Trump).”
