Photos: Monica and Shannon Brown Welcome Daughter

Congratulations are in order for Monica and her husband Shannon Brown. The happy couple welcomed a daughter named Laiyah into the world on Thursday.

Brown shared the good news with his Instagram followers, posting a photo of him cradling his baby girl in his arms with the caption “Daddy’s Girl.”

“I THANK GOD for her!!! JOY has been restored in my LIFE!!!” tweeted the Phoenix Suns star.

This is the first child for the couple. Monica has two sons, Romelo and Rocko, with rapper Rocko, and Brown has a son, Shannon Christopher, from a previous relationship.

Monica announced her pregnancy in May. The couple married in 2010 after meeting on set of Monica’s video for “Love All Over Me.”
