Mariah Carey stepped out to honor the most compelling gay people of the year at Out magazine’s Out100 gala in New York on Thursday night. The pop diva was ravishing in a busty black dress, with fan in hand, as she accepted the Artist of the Year award on behalf of The Butler director Lee Daniels (Mariah also starred in the film).

She caught up with Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry at the event, but before heading out, posed for an Instagram pic with her own little diva Monroe.

The singer posted an open letter to her Lambs after an unfinished version of her single “The Art of Letting Go” was released on Facebook.

“A mistake was made by a brand new sound engineer whose only task was to press the space bar and upload the song to Facebook,” said Mariah.

The correct mastered version was sent to iTunes. She posted both versions on Facebook and asked her fans if they could hear the difference.

“Even if the differences may seem slight to you, I had put time, effort and emotions into ‘The Art of Letting Go’ and the real mix is how I intended for you to hear the song,” said Mimi.

She will celebrate the holiday season by performing on the upcoming Christmas specials “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” (12/4) and “Michael Bublé’s 3rd Annual Christmas Special” (12/18).
