It’s the cover that has everyone talking and even spoofing. After the big reveal last week, Vogue has shared a couple more intimate photos from Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s April cover shoot with Annie Leibovitz.
In one family portrait, the future Mrs. West reclines on a sofa in a white dress, while her shirtless fiancé puts his head in her lap. Their adorable daughter North stares into the camera, draped across her daddy’s chest.
“I take pictures of her all the time and dress her up,” said Kim of the couple’s nine-month-old. “I put Kanye’s big chains around her, and I put a little Louis bag and some Jordans, and I was like, ‘What up, Daddy?’”
Kanye has also made a stop-frame video of North (“Kanye’s side of the family calls her Nori,” says Kim) caught in her natural movements and edited it to appear as if she’s break-dancing.
Kim’s mother Kris Jenner was on set of the shoot and helped entertain her granddaughter by singing “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” and Pharrell’s “Happy.”
In the interview, Kim also reveals that she looked to purchase her idol Elizabeth Taylor’s house, but ultimately decided against it.
“It was just so enchanting,” she says, “with a garden with really pretty trellises and beautiful roses, but it wasn’t realistic for me to purchase. It only had a one-car garage.”
The April 2014 issue of Vogue hits newsstands on March 31.
