He just missed the mark in his first week, but Lil Wayne has now officially sold a million copies of Tha Carter IV.

The ninth album from Dwayne Carter Jr. moves 219,000 units in its second week, down 77 percent from its opening but easily enough to hold on to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. It debuted with a massive 964,000, becoming the second-highest debut of the year behind Lady Gaga.

The drop-off was expected, as Billboard predicted that the album would see a sales decline of 65-80 percent in week two. By comparison, Wayne’s Tha Carter III was down 69 percent after entering with 1.05 million in June 2008.

Elsewhere on the chart, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne slides 4-6 (49,000), while Beyonce’s 4 drops 7-9 (25,000).

Weezy, who wrapped the second leg of his “I Am Still Music” tour over the weekend, bounces back on the Digital Songs chart with “How to Love,” which leaps 20-10 with 90,000.
