Kendrick Lamar is taking shots at Drake once again. Following his explosive verse on “Control,” the Compton MC took the opportunity to call out the Toronto native during TDE’s BET Hip Hop Awards 2013 cypher. AllHipHop has obtained a preview of Kendrick’s cypher, in which he addresses the Nothing Was the Same rapper.
“Yeah, and nothing’s been the same since they dropped ‘Control’ and tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes/ Ha ha, joke’s on you/ Hi five, I’m bulletproof/ Your shit will never penetrate/ Pin the tail on the donkey/ Boy, you been a fake,” he raps.
In a previous interview, Drake shrugged off the “Control” verse.
“It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me,” he told Billboard. “That’s all it was. I know good and well that Kendrick’s not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic.”
TDE’s full cypher will air during the BET Hip Hop Awards on Oct. 15. Watch a preview of his explosive verse below.
