Joyner Lucas throws his storytelling hat back on. The intricate rapper shares a powerful message in the video for “Frozen,” which follows his “I’m Not Racist” visual and Chris Brown collaboration, “Stranger Things.”

The Joyner Lucas and Ben Proulx-directed visual tells the story of “Frozen.” It depicts the perils of texting and driving, driving under the influence, and speeding. It’s a bloody and cinematic depiction of reckless endangerment with a plot twist ending.

“No more kisses from my daddy ’cause I left and died,” Lucas raps from the perspective of a fallen child. “All because this stupid bitch wanted to text and drive.” Later, he rhymes from a pregnant passenger’s lens. “No more baby in my belly, sad to say we died,” he raps. “All because you choose to drink and drive.”

The stunning video also ends with a message to all: “Drive safe.”

Lucas is readying the follow-up to last year’s 508-507-2209, in addition to crafting his Angels & Demons joint project with Chris Brown.
