Chance the Rapper has pulled out of a charity performance after being hospitalized.

According to TMZ, the Chicago rapper was forced to cancel the gig due to “some sort of illness.” However, his reps did not specify what put him in the hospital.

Chance, who’s set to release Chance 3 on Friday (May 13), will no longer be able to perform at the Robin Hood organization’s “Night in NYC” event at Terminal 5 this evening due to his hospitalization.

Anderson .Paak, Mark Ronson, and Joey Bada$$ are slated to take his place at the benefit, which raises money for the fight against poverty.

Chance has similarly fallen ill in the past. In 2014, he backed out of a Coachella performance after being hospitalized.

He subsequently canceled other shows as well, announcing that he faced complications, including pain and inflammation of his throat. It remains unclear whether this hospitalization is of a similar nature.

Chance most recently performed his new single “Blessings” on “The Tonight Show” last week, a performance that was hailed for its positive message.
