Now that he’s out of jail, Rick Ross is focused on his music.
The MMG mogul’s eighth album is tentatively titled Black Dollar and will be “dropping soon,” Ross’ lawyer Adamma McKinnon tells The Daily Beast (via HHNM).
The project serves as the follow-up to Mastermind and Hood Billionaire, both of which were released last year.
Rozay was arrested last month and charged with kidnapping, aggravated battery, and aggravated assault. The arrest stemmed from an incident involving a confrontation between Ross and a groundskeeper at his Georgia home. He allegedly pistol-whipped the man, chipping his front teeth and breaking his jaw. After a week behind bars, the MMG mogul wasreleased from jail after posting $2 million bond.
McKinnon claims that Ross is in high spirits, but feels that he’s being framed for being famous.
“He’s someone who has reached a certain plateau and there are people after celebrities like [Ross] and looking for monetary gain,” she said.
He’s received support from his MMG family including Meek Mill, who tweeted,
“Prayers up for Rozay!”
