Bruno Mars & Janelle Monáe Join Cast Of “Rio 2”

Bruno Mars and Janelle Monáe are spreading their wings and flying onto the big screen. The singers have joined the cast of Rio 2.

20th Century Fox has announced (via The Hollywood Reporter) the full voice cast for Rio 2, the sequel to the 2011 animated film about birds.

Jamie Foxx, will.i.am, Anne Hathaway, and Jesse Eisenberg will reprise their roles in the movie. New additions to the cast include Bruno Mars, Andy Garcia, and Kristin Chenoweth, who will all lend their voices to new characters.

Janelle Monáe will also get animated and contribute music to the soundtrack.

Rio 2 lands in theaters on April 14, 2014.
