Roc Nation announced the launch of its new television division on Wednesday (May 2). It will be led by EVP, scripted and unscripted television, Patrick Reardon, who has been tasked to build and lead the division with a focus on developing and producing scripted and unscripted content.

The establishment of Roc Nation’s new television division follows the success of the 2018 Peabody winner Time: The Kalief Browder Story and the upcoming Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story, which recently premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Both documentary projects were executive produced by Roc Nation’s founder, Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter. The department has a number of projects in development, according to a press release, including an unscripted series with Amazon.

“Roc Nation is such an influential and dynamic company, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with them as they expand their brand into television,” said Reardon in a statement.
