BET celebrated hip-hop’s past and present superstars at the BET Hip-Hop Awards 2013, which taped last month in Atlanta and aired on Tuesday. Snoop Dogg aka Uncle Snoop hosted the eighth annual event, which featured performances from Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Future, Rick Ross, French Montana, Meek Mill, and ScHoolBoy Q.

Kendrick was the big winner, taking home five awards including Lyricist of the Year, MVP of the Year, and Album of the Year, while Drake won four including Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Collabo, and the People’s Champ Award.

Eve presented MC Lyte with the “I Am Hip Hop” Award, but all eyes were on the cyphers starring A$AP Mob, Slaughterhouse, TDE, Lil’ Kim, and more.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony closed out the show with a medley of “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” “1st of tha Month,” and “Crossroads,” with special guest Claudette Ortiz.
